The innovation in health care and rescue services
The EMM “EuroMediMobil” (brief description)

The EMM EuroMediMobil is an innovation based on the principle of subsidiary medicine, the importance of which extends over and beyond European borders.

In contrast to hitherto known medical facilities in containers (military, THW), the EMM not only provides medical equipment and facilities for dealing with emergencies, but also full medical care by a team of specialists (surgical) over a wide area.

For the first time in medical history, the interface between traditional outpatient and traditional in-patient treatment, rightly considered as a problem zone, has largely been resolved due to the mobile use of modern technology in harmony with the expert knowledge of outpatient medicine. Not only are the systematic strains on limited financial resources removed, but the future demographic development is also increasingly taken into account.

In addition, the EMM is not only intended solely for regions within Germany, but also beyond international borders; particularly for other structurally and financially weak regions within Europe and worldwide that do not have the resources of Western Europe.

Thus, in addition to its actual purpose of providing medical care due to its pan-european suitability, it also plays an important role in the European process of alignment to socio-political level.

EMM provides the following services:

a) Standard services:
1. Specialist surgical care in regions over a wide area
within Germany and Europe having a structurally weak healthcare service.
2. Secondary transport services [transport of patients that have received
medical treatment for (intensive) further care].
3. Implantation, control of heart-pacemakers and exchange of batteries.
4. Dialysis (specialized semitrailer)
5. Prevention and vaccination (also covering larger areas)
6. Systematic X-ray checks for larger groups of people
7. Specialized medical service for homes for retired people

b) Special services: For large major events, regions used for industrial purposes
subject to increased potential dangers (e.g. oil exploration and production regions).

c) Military services: In crisis areas (also as part of NATO and UN operations).

d) Catastrophe and For example, terror attacks, natural catastrophes
(hurricans, tsunamies emergency services: etc.), vehicle pile-ups, major fires, etc.

e) Services as part of development aid : (acute and preventative treatment and care).

c) Emergency help, rescue and tretament of victims at the site.
d) Treatment of fire and gas victims, if necessary ABC contaminated persons
    (optional equipment).
e) Initial treatment of infected persons (optional equipment).
f) Mass diagnosis and vaccination

The EMM is not an unmanned container module, but an autonomous mobile providing medical and surgical care for direct deployment at the treatment or accident site by a team of specialists with its own, independent energy supply (power, water and waste-water system).

Rescue-Station

The EMM is available as follows:

a) With crew: 1 driver
2 doctors
2 auxiliary medical personnel

b) Without crew: 1 driver

c) For sale (no crew, no driver)

The EMM is maintained in line with medical and technical advances.

Further medical-technical information:

· The EMM carries a fresh- and a waste-water tank (2x500 litre capacity). The EMM also has a coupling (clutch) for direct connection to water supply pipes (including hydrants).

· The oxygen required for specific medical situations is extracted/cncentrated from the ambient air (without any delay).

· The employed X-ray equipment MOBILETT XP is a digital unit that has been newly developed by Siemens, making it ideal for mobile use. The unit requires no programming and allows digital data transmission.

· Electronic data transfer (if necessary) takes place via a central onboard computer by means of DICOM. The advantage of this technology is its capability of allowing specialists in Munich, Brussels, Washington or anywhere else in the world to be consulted for help with X-ray findings if necessary.

The EMM is suitable for transport by sea and air. For particularly difficult terrain, the standard truck (Mercedes-Benz ACTROS 2041 S) can be exchanged for an off-road truck, also with sand filter.

The truck (standard version) has a “long” driver’s cab with space for 5 to 6 persons. It has an extended wheel base as the 80KVA generator (power supply for all units including the air-conditioning system) is flanged to the trailer head.

The trailer can be extended from 2.50 m to 4.0 m on a length of 4–6 m providing an area of about 24 m².

EMM EuroMediMobil GmbH also offers potential EMM buyers the following
